As a travel writer, photographer and artist, I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 25 years exploring some of the world’s most beautiful wild places, from the tropical forests of Borneo to the daisy-speckled plains of Namaqualand. I still love to travel, but I’m always happiest in my garden. It’s one of the reasons why, in 2014/15, I took a professional diploma in garden design. I wanted to fulfill a lifelong ambition to study the art of creating stunning gardens – taking a pencil and sketching initial ideas, crafting detailed, hand-drawn layouts and planting plans, and then seeing it all take root and evolve into a dream garden. I hope that my background in travel and photography brings something fresh and original to your garden design.
