We are Steve and Emma Overfield (along with our two dogs Poppy and Buddy). We are both qualified teachers and have worked in the prison service developing and delivering education, including ICT, and Essential Skills for over two decades between us. We have always absolutely loved working with dogs and feel passionately that dogs can be used to encourage positive progress in education, therapy and self awareness. As well as spending our days having so much fun walking woderful dogs, and helping some of them with their basic training, we are also currently writing and developing education programmes that will allow trained dogs to be used for support in a range of learning and therapeutic environments. These programmes will be available for delivery from the beginning of the September term 2017.

Based in Cardiff, Walkies Wales is a family run business with a history of keeping and training dogs that can be traced back through the generations. We take pride in the services that we offer and our motto is to provide “The Best Care For Your Best Friend”.

We are a small local business, not a franchise and this means that we are able to provide a much more personal and flexible service. Our customers are our most important asset and for that reason we aim to provide a professional and safe environment that ensures a healthy experience for everyone.

We are certified in Puppy Training and Dog Behaviour and Psychology. Both owners of Walkies Wales have extensive experience of working with dogs and are looking forward to using this experience with your best friend.

Your best friends are walked in all weathers and in manageable groups to enhance socialisation skills. We cater for all ages and breeds of dog and through talking to you we will ensure their safety and individual needs are met successfully. The walks will be tailored for the individual so could be on lead or off lead, depending on your preferences. We specialise in dealing with the more boisterous individual - let us take the stress out of the situation for you and lead train your best friend.

We are both fully insured, police checked and home office cleared, first aid trained and use GPS tracking for peace of mind.
