We cater for all level of lifters, from those who have never lifted before and want to give it a go, right up to those who are looking to compete in Weightlifting Competitions.
The emphasis will be on the two Olympic lifts, Snatch and Clean & Jerk, with subsidiary exercises programmed which are designed to build strength and power to compliment the lifts above.
We will follow a 12 week mesocycle, which will consist of varying intensities and volumes as well as testing days to measure progress along the way.
The programme is ideal for individuals and teams involved in competitive sports that require powerful and explosive movements, such as Rugby or athletics. However, anybody can benefit from Weightlifting to increase strength, power, co-ordination, flexibility and accuracy.
Memberships are as follows:
UNIT 22 Weightlifting/Open Gym - £39 per month = Unlimited use.
UNIT 22 PAYG - £7 per class
We also offer individual Weightlifting/strength programmes that are specifically tailored for the athlete's capabilities and goals.
