CHAOS – BRINGING US TOGETHER.
That little 5 letter word reflects an unlikely attitude to doing what we do and it’s that along with superb skills and excellent training which has got the Chaos group this far. And commitment to what we do. And hard work.

Chaos has been set up as a Community Interest company – a recent legal entity which allows us to carry out all our good works but also make money from it to re-invest; a classic social enterprise – socially driven with largely charitable aims but financially astute and commercially aware. We need to make a fair return on what we do or we won’t be around next year to do any more of it!

So, we work with vulnerable people, delivering employability skills, engaging them in meaningful activities and supporting them to access employment in their communities.

CHAOS encourages people young and old to get the skills they need for a better future. Facilitated by professionals practised in engaging with marginalised groups and disadvantaged individuals who have additional complex health needs.

Chaos is based on co-production model which means its run both by the people who use the service and its volunteers. As well as this, the project aims to promote sustainable friendships and highlight when people develop personal and social skills which can positively contribute and engage in the local community.

Of course day to day we’re anything but chaotic – given our important “customers” and important work we can’t afford to be…but many look in at what we do and think how do they pull it off? How can they do so much and cover such a varied territory? Easy really, because people’s needs can’t be neatly defined and put in boxes.

There is a chaos to life…particularly for those we seek to deal with, to help and, yes, to love. And so we fight on a number of fronts; it’s hard to walk by on the other side when we see something that needs doing - someone that needs helping and so The CHAOS Group was born . Chaos reflects the mayhem of society whilst breaking down its barriers. We believe in an inclusive society and this group of community projects aims to make this vision a reality.
So Chaos it is. Odd but it fits. It fits us and it fits those we work with. We like to think we’re Chaotic but clever. Chaotic but caring. Chaotic but comprehensive. Chaotic but effective.
