Pole Magnets originally opened in June 2008 and is run by Beccy Summers who has over 14 years of experience in the business


We have classes across Derbyshire where we teach and link various dance moves and pole skills to people of all ages and abilities. We even have an especially thin pole for those with smaller hands!


Our Pole Fitness classes are a great way to get fit, building strength up gradually and providing variety to a fitness routine with the ability to work on both static poles and spinning poles as well as the ability to perform on a raised stage and even on a stage pole.


Many people assume you need lots of upper body strength to participate. Although good upper body strength will rapidly excel your progress, it is not necessary. Even if you regularly attend a gym you may not have used your muscles in the same way as you would in pole dancing. All the beginner moves are designed to build your strength up, starting with the upper body and core. The noticeable improvements in just a few sessions are remarkable so don't be put off by what others can do because you will get there soon enough if you continue with Pole Dancing at Pole Magnets Pole Dance Tuition.


We also have a directory of pole moves in every class so you have inspiration for any new moves so there's no chance of you getting bored either!


For those of you who require a bit more, we offer more intensive training in Pole Acrobatics and Dance either in a purpose built studio or in your own home when you are a bit more comfortable with pole dancing so there is always room to improve.


If you are considering joining the Pole Magnets community then bear in mind that:
- Individual class prices are listed with class times. You can also work towards becoming a member which is £55 a month for 1 class and practice time all inclusive or £60 for 2 classes and practice time all inclusive.
- Wear some shorts or hotpants and a tank top for best grip on the pole
- Wear heels or come bare foot, whichever you will feel more comfortable in
- Please don't moisturize 24 hours before coming to the lesson because you won't be able to grip to the pole!
- we do hold intermittent workshops such as burlesque (please see Jessica Rabbit's Burlesque Review), heel workouts and workshops with famous polers!All of these can be seen on our timeline events.
- We also hold showcases twice a year with our summer 'polestice' and winter 'poler express' so you can even showcase all of your new moves to friends and family or just come and watch what your fellow students can do :)
- We are hoping to start pole silks soon too so watch this space!
- Also, if you're a member at cliffords gym - wednesday at 6 we do classes there too!


Classes are as follows:
- Monday 7 - 9 (this one includes some flex training at the end) *with Beccy* It costs £8 without extra flex or £10 for he full 2 hours bu you can also block book for £30 or 4 weeks
- Tuesday 8 - 9 (solely flex training)*with Alissa*
- Wednesday 7-8 (gradingand normal class) and 8-9 (this one is choreography and routines with a video made at the end and is not included in any membership price) *with Ceri* These cost £5 each or £8 for the 2
- Thursday 6.30 - 7.30 and 7.30 - 9pm (this one includes some flex training at the end) *with Ceri* For£5
- Friday 6.30 - 7.45 for nemesis pole move training ONLY. This is not a class but you can come and train with a maximum of 3 moves for the time period with instructors there to help. As this is not technically a class it is £2 for pole magnets students or £5 for students from other schools
- Sunday 6-7 *with Beccy* For £8

Pole Hire, parties and private lessons available at all other times.


As always your safety, fitness development and enjoyment are our main priority, class sizes are limited to enable this...so, please bare this in mind and book early to avoid disappointment!
