Pendock Welsh Pony Stud 3.14

Pendock Stud of Welsh Mountain Ponies was founded in 1937 by Mrs Mary Philipson-Stow with the purchase of two filly foals from the Revel Stud. In 1947 three further fillies were purchased from the Craven Stud of Tom Jones Evans. Mrs Philipson-Stow was also gifted the dam of two of the fillies (Craven Toscanini and Craven Sprite) Craven Tosca. Tosca and Toscanini were both in foal to Bowlder Blue Boy. Tosca's colt foal (Pendock Play Boy) was sold to the Revel Stud, and Toscanini's filly foal (Pendock Bluebelle) is the grand-dam of Pendock Mirage, sire of the stud's latest star, Pendock Paige Boy.

In 1954 at the Cui dispersal sale, the stallion Gaerston Beacon and the filly Cui Flora (grand-dam of Pendock Legend) were purchased.

1978 Fayre Oaks sale saw Pendock Stud acquire Craven Ballerina, Grand-dam of Pendock Paige Boy.

Stallions used at the stud have included Gaerstone Beacon. Twyford Juggler, Criban Brenin, Revel Jeeves, Bengad Cola Nut, Bengad Dragon Arum and Pendock Mirage,
