The Hazrat Bilal Centre is the new site for one of Bristol's oldest Mosque (Est 1967) which was located in mid terrace house at 109 Lower Cheltenham Place.. After 50 years the congregation which had increased vastly in numbers finally moved to a purpose built building on 11th May 2017.
The Congregation is of predominately of British/ Pakistani heritage following the Sunni Hanafi School of thought. This does not mean others are not welcome but are indeed warmly welcome to attend and do join daily congregation prayers.
Daily after Schools classes are held to teach children about their faith and responsibilities about being good Muslim and good positive citizens in the communities they live in.
Daily Adult classes are held to teach them about their faith and to correctly read the Quran with correct pronunciation.
The weekly Jummah (Friday) prayer has dual language sermons, with the first half in Urdu and the second half in English.
