Forecast Drums are an independent drum company dedicated to the custom manufacture of acrylic kits and snares in the UK for the first time.

The company is a owner and run between UK custom drum builders Jamie Cross and Carl Haffield of JC Drums and AD Drums, who have combined their creativity and drum building talent to focus on the custom manufacture of acrylics.

Forecast Drums was launched at the first Manchester Drum Show on June 8th 2014 and received excellent feedback for the range of kits and snares on offer from both the UK drum industry and show attendees.

Carl comments, “Both Jamie and I share a love for drums and drum building, and have an acute sense of attention to detail and creativity, therefore a partnership made sense.

“We both realised there is niche market available for just acrylic drum kits, and with the launch of Forecast Drums, we aim to become the UK’s specialist or go to manufacturer for acrylic kits and snares.”

Forecast drums has collaborated with lug lock specialist, Tuner Fish, by creating a multicoloured Jellybean kit to be used in the company’s advertisements.

Jamie comments, “Both Carl and I are extremely excited to be working with such a well known industry brand like Tuner Fish, and feel honoured to be chosen to create the kit used for branding advertisement. The jellybean kit looks unreal and is an excellent example of our creativity and drum building capabilities.”

Ian of Tuner Fish Lug Locks comments, "I have always been a bit dubious about acrylic drums so when Forecast Drums said they would build me a kit I was obviously a bit weary. I have to say that all my doubts about acrylic drums have been completely smashed. The depth of sound and vibrant tones that now ring out of my new kit are positively beautiful!! Forecast drums have outdone themselves with this kit and have opened my ears to a completely new sound in drums!"
