Bishan Mazumder hails from the country of Bangladesh in Chittagong region. From the age of five Bishan has had an overwhelming passin for dance.
Bishan has studied dance at the famous Shilpocala Dance Academy which is one of the leading academies in South East Asia and also Nrityanchol Academy In Dhaka.
One of Bishans’ dance master was Akram Khan who is a very famous contemporary dance masters well known across the globe. Having done many high profile tours around the world for the rich and famous.
At this Academy Bishan trained in classical Indian and Bangladeshi folk dance, Contemporary dance, Monipuri Dance, Bharat Nattun, he has also studied popular western Dance like jazz and Balet.
After finishing studies at Shilpocala Dance Academy while at the same time doing many tours across the World. Bishan Came to the UK to further his education in dance.
While In the UK Bishan studied dance at Weymouth College while at the same time toured across the UK doing stage and TV shows. Bishan has been a regualar performer for many of the Asian satellite channels which are broadcast in the UK for the British Asian population. These channels are Bangla TV, Channel S, Channel I, Zee TV, NTV and also Star Plus.
Now Bishan wants to pass on his passion for Indian dance in the UK through his Bollywood dance classes.
