Welcome to the Amethyst Trust, a charity established in 2010 to meet the needs of people who are living with cancer and are seeking to have massage in salons and spas throughout the UK.

It has been a frustration of ours that for many years cancer has been contra-indicated to massage unless the client produces a doctors note. If the client is there waiting in your salon or spa it is then that they are wanting or perhaps needing a relaxing pampering treatment not maybe next week when they have gone away to get their doctors permission.

Through the Amethyst Trust we teach therapists how to provide professional massage, safely and with competence and confidence, having shown them techniques and adaptations that might be appropriate.

We are also able to provide a 'bolt on' insurance policy ensuring that the therapists and salon or spa is fully covered to treat clients with or recovering from cancer.

Formed by Julie Speed and Debbie Moore from the International Beauty & Holistic Academy and John and Sandra Holman from Hydrotherm the Amethyst Trust Course is endorsed by HABIA and Penny Brohn UK.
